Every practice needs a little extra heart, and Wally brings plenty of it — even if his journey here was entirely unexpected.
A Highway Discovery
Over Labor Day weekend in 2023, Wally was found trotting right down the middle of a highway — completely lost, but as friendly and tail-wagging as could be. After taking him in, extensive efforts were made to track down his original owners or handlers, searching local listings and scanning for microchips. When significant time passed with no one coming forward, it became clear: we were meant to be together. What started as a roadside rescue turned into a mutual adoption. We truly rescued each other.
The Power of Rescue Dogs
Wally is a daily reminder of the resilience, second chances, and unconditional loyalty that rescue animals bring into our lives. Opening your home to a rescue dog isn't just about saving a life — it's about discovering how much grounding, joy, and comfort they give back in return.
A Note on Wally's Role
While Wally's spirit inspires the warmth behind Compacity Counseling, he is not a therapy dog and does not come to the office. He stays comfortably at home, serving strictly as our unofficial mascot, chief morale officer, and a gentle personal reminder of the power of second chances.
